We had a cruise through This Is Me Highland and had a wonderful time. Thankfully the weather was good for it, the men running it were so helpful and patient. They answered all the children’s questions, no matter how funny they were! I have never been on the canal before and it was a lovely experience. We learned how both the bridges work and we had different boats pointed out to us with some information. We also had laminated sheets with different flags on to see where the boats we passed came from. The front of the boat opens out and we got to stand in the fresh air and enjoy the views. Good experience but I would be cautious if you have hyperactive children who wouldn’t enjoy the calm experience so much 😉 my older children asked to go again so we plan to visit without the little ones who were a bit fed up. We got tea and biscuits and the children got juice. Would recommend it and we are looking forward to going again.
