Beautiful campsite in Bishopthorpe in York. Located right next to the river with electric hook up, a cafe, a restaurant, boat hire and lovely shower and toilet block. At the end of the lane is a bus stop that goes to the city centre making getting around very easy. It was very busy most of the time we were there and at times a little noisy but it’s well worth a visit.

Breakfast baps so filthy, the watershed should be lowered. Great spot, friendly staff and good food done well. One of my favourite spots to walk out to.

Fantastic location right on the river bank. Easy access, via bus, to York centre. Facilities, second to none, immaculately clean. Easy walk into Bishopthorpe, shops and three excellent pubs all serving top quality food. Best stopover, by far, for us, compared to our other trips. Take note though, there is no water taxi into York as is stated on some websites. Would definitely go back soon, hopefully, Steve and Linda

Very nice place with excellent cafe and restaurant, picnic benches next to the can k and great kids play area, nice pitches with small grass area, my only complaint would be we got eaten alive by midges or mosquitoes not sure which I know they like me but my wife also got bit several times, after walking the dog behind our pitch we found a area of still water, home to the buggers! We only stayed 1 night and our pitch was furthest away from the canal, it backs into a small wooded area, overall a lovely place and great for our stopover before VanLove Festival 2024! Which was brilliant! 🤩

Brilliant location for touring. The ammenities are decent with locked toilets. The pitch sizes are of a good size with both a hard and grass standing. It is within a 5 min walk of three decent local pubs and a Co-op. It is also a 5 min drive from the park and ride to get into York. The access to the site down a slim road could be a pain but we found that most of the cars had room to pull over. We really enjoyed the stay and would definitely go again
