We had a beautiful day out on the canal on Tuesday. We took some residents from Greyfriars Care Home on the Marjorie Seagull. Eleanor and the crew were superb. Highly recommend The Seagull Trust. Our residents were able to see two herons, the family of ducks and learn about the canal journey from the crew.

A very happy day had by all.

Our residents at Retail Trust,( a sheltered housing complex at Newton Mearns) had a high old time.. A big thank you to Graham and Paul, who helped to make our day extra special.

A couple of happy chappies

Can’t speak highly enough of this charity. Have been 3 times as driver for different groups and each time has been a good experience. The volunteers are friendly and patient. Several of members in my groups had restricted mobility or are wheelchair users and had no issues boarding the specially adapted boats. Pleasurable cruise up and down the canal with tea/coffee and biscuits after fish and chips ordered from local chippy and delivered to the boats.
