Great experience on a boat trip organised through Whitchurch (Shropshire) Walking Festival in May 2024 – – comfortable seats, toilet facilities and coffee made and also a lift for those with mobility issues – hope to be back

We hired the Shropshire lady today as my mum was 85 and grew up in Lyneal. The day was lovely thankyou to the lyneal Trust and all the volunteers for all the work you do the experience was excellent.

Booked the canal boat ‘shropshire lady’ for the day for elderly passengers with limited mobility. Was perfect. Could not recommend it highly enough. Passengers have asked to book again as they enjoyed it that much. Volunteers that ran the day were exceptional. Right level of personable and professional (Michael and Andy). Booking was easy and straightforward with Carole.

The Lyneal Trust Charity are fantastic . They operate several fully accessible to wheelchair boats including the “Lady “ which we recently went on a day trip with neighbours. The skipper and crew were great, even letting several of us man the tiller !

Full day out and almost great weather, well worth it.

Give them a try if you’re trying to think of a different day out, especially if there’s a wheelchair user involved.

Perfect holiday destination for a tranquil holiday watching the canal boats go by. Fantastic charity with lovely volunteers providing boating holidays, a day boat or a cottage based at lyneal wharf for people with disabilities.
