Visited after a long day to unwind and watch the sunset. It didn’t disappoint. Just be aware of the midges that fly around due to the presence of cows and livestock as they give a nasty bite.

Had an amazing walk in early March. The weather was great and the views were amazing. Had a walk around the surrounding area and had a lively time. There is parking available near the bottom and there are lots of benches at the top.

Stunning. We arrived to an empty carpark at 5am to watch the sunrise. There was a sea of mist surrounding us when we sat at the top and all the tree tops poked through it like cliffs. Lovely friendly cows. Big sturdy benches.

Great place for a walk. Plenty of trails round and through the clumps. We walked down to Day’s Lock then back to the clumps. Free car park but be aware there’s no toilets or cafe. A farm cafe is advertised near the lock but we didn’t venture there. Amazing views and we could see a water tower 18km away today!
