Excellent place to visit. Parking. Toilets. Cafe. Guides in most rooms. Photography allowed.
Moated house and setting for lots of TV programmes, most famously, Wolf Hall. Lots to see and lovely gardens, very historic.

We visited the castle for the first time on Wednesday, (the only week day open) it was excellent.
The interior was extremely well maintained with all the artifacts well displayed and documented. A few of the paintings were of particular interest to me and are very fine indeed. The room guides are knowledgeable and friendly. Outside, the gardens were also well maintained, stocked with an interesting selection of plants.
We are members of Historic Houses and visit many homes around the country. Broughton Castle is well worth a visit.
Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

We enjoyed a sunny Sunday afternoon at this wonderful place. Great interiors, the natural light coming in is just perfect, a well designed and maintained garden, the moat is in a very good state. It’s not a busy place and you can spend 2-3 hours inside and outside. The place has also a place to enjoy a tea or cake. You can visit the roof terrace as well to see the surroundings.
