Guide To Barnes Brinkcraft Holiday Homes

Been coming down to the broads for 10 years but always had a boat. First time having an apartment and it was fantastic. Great location 2 minutes walk to the middle of Wroxham. The staff was brilliant. I would definitely book again next time we come down to the broads.

Stayed at the Coot Cottage for a week. Lodge is very airy, spacious and a great location for the broads and other areas like Great Yarmouth, Bewilderwood etc.

However many improvements need to be made.

– Hair in all 3 bathrooms in the shower and the bed.

– No pint glasses.

– No plastic cups for kids.

– General rubbish all around the outside of the house. (Old bbqs, random brooms, cigarette butts.

The worst being the fishing area, the tarmac / mooring area is all damaged, uneven, holey and falling into the broads. Very unsafe for kids and adults alike.

Would not recommend in its current state for families to stay in.

Excellent location for both the Broads and beaches in Norfolk.

The property was light, spacious and airy.

The upside down layout made the most of the views.

Everything you could possibly want is on your doorstep.

We hired a boat to explore the Broads. It was a shame that we had to pay for this as it was peak season but we did get a small discount. This was great fun. We were a multi generation group and all were catered for.

Fishing outside the property was fun and lots of fish were caught.

A great holiday in a great location.

We spent Christmas and new year in Grebe and Coot lodges respectively. Both were immaculately clean and well appointed. The welcome hamper and use of a day boat were really appreciated.

Both in a beautiful position on the river and in Central Wroxham, with good shops and restaurants.

Could not have asked for better reception and service from the owners.

Have already booked for next year.

Wonderful accommodation, we had a thoroughly enjoyable family gathering for Christmas in Main Sail. Very clean kitchen/ bathrooms/ sheets/ towels etc. We had lovely neighbours whilst there and were all surprised at the sound proof nature of the building. As the boatyard was closed for a few days over the Festive period it was exceptionally quiet, we were also very lucky with the weather, which made using the day boat provided more appealing. Well equipped kitchen, much better than most self catering holidays we have had, even the knives were sharp. A big shout out to the staff, who were welcoming, really friendly and pleasant and the out of hours service was impressive. We had a slight heating issue, but were tended to within minutes of reaching out. All staff appeared to demonstrate a lovely personal touch, we were made to feel more than welcome and shown how to use the day boat in a professional yet warm friendly manner. We loved having the use of the day boat and experienced some unusual wildlife on our voyages. Some of us attended the Christmas day service at the local Church which was full to capacity and really friendly. Would highly recommend a stay with Barnes Brinkcraft you will not be disappointed, we were so pleased we made the decision to spend Christmas here.
