Idle Women of the Inland Waterways
Heather Wastie has a strong connection to the history of canals. During the summer of 2016, she embarked on a tour of a theatrical performance, poetry, and song. The double bill show, titled ‘Idle Women of the Wartime Waterways’, was produced in collaboration with Alarum Theatre. “Idle Women of the Inland Waterways” includes a transcript of Kate Saffin’s play alongside Wastie’s poems and songs.
