Framed and glazed A4 signed limited edition print of a reconstruction painting by Stephen Hughes of the northern terminal basin of the Swansea Canal, built in 1796-98. A higher-level canal water feeder also drove the blast in the dockside ironworks. Early railway inclines built under the terms of the Swansea Canal’s Parliamentary Act led to mountaintop limestone, silica-sand, and rotten-stone quarries and other railways to collieries. Original water-colour artwork by Stephen Hughes.
