We hired a 42ft boat called “Bath” just over a weekend break in late October from Bradford Upon Avon’s wharf. The boat was very well presented, clean and very practical. The staff were warm, friendly and could not offer enough support. There is something reassuring and welcoming when the Wharf team are welcoming. We have done many boat trips and this boat performed beautifully; shower, toilet, central heating, engine, lights all worked well. The hand book/instructional manual was excellent with plenty of info about routes and places to visit. We took two dogs and it’s always good to take extra dog blankets. The Kennet and Avon Canal is stunning and we aim to book with the Oxfordshire Narrowboats again. Thank you to you all. Ray, Sarah and Connie with Monty.

Enjoyed a beautiful day hire cruise this week from Lower Heyford to Kirtlington Quarry. We did not have any narrowboat experience and Kevin did a great job explaining how to operate the boat and locks safely. Will for sure try to do this again with these guys on our next holiday in the UK.

Great experience blacking and having tunnel bars painted. Everyone was very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating, despite the fact of having a very high workload. I would certainly go back to them. Thanks to all, with special mentions to Sam (fitting us in) and Tash (very special paint job).

Very clean and comfortable boat, well equipped. 240V AC power and a microwave was very welcome. I’m 6’5″ and I could stand up in the shower, a first for me! Comfortable bedding.

Fantastic place for a short break. Myself and my ex-Army buddy’s hired narrowboat Friday to Monday. Cannot recommend Oxfordshire Narrow Boats higher. We’re all novices at narrowboating so everything from the instruction from Ben on what’s on the boat, how to operate the locks, and where’s best to moor up everything was easy to understand. It was all fantastic. The boats were really well equipped, everything we needed was there. Views were stunning all the way down to the Thames.
