Booked the Halloween canal trip to take the children on and they could wear fancy dress if they wanted to. The trip was an hour long and everyone enjoyed looking out for the ghosts dotted along the canal banks. Will definitely go again. You have to book tickets in advance through their website

Beautiful area to have a walk and pleasant cafe area to visit. Easy to park during the week when it’s not as busy. Good paths for cycling.

Me and my mum and my daughter went for a meal and a walk down the canal here yesterday. The food is nice, I’d recommend the full English, and the walk down the, at some point quite thin, canal path.

An impulse visit that paid off.

A great way to spend a leisurely hour on the water.

Informative and relaxed trip on a well restored stretch of canal.

Good cafe and gift shop.

Highly recommend it.

Nice little watering hole on your trip down Chesterfield Canal. Good range of drinks and hot or cold food. Friendly and helpful staff.

Public toilets available and the Chesterfield Canal souvenir shop is next door and you can even hire Kayaks and Paddle Boards here
